Absolutely Horrible.... I visit this place often, pay for the overpriced beer, and try to have a good time. However, NEVER visit on a weekend night when the owner is working. He attempts to manage the bar alone and literally YELLS at you if he's too busy to get you a drink. Then, to top it off, he TAKES A BREAK after not serving a single thing to any one of his guests. He's rude and should find other work to accomplish in his establishment other than bartending. Any other time when any of the OTHER, better bartenders are working Gabriel's is a great place to go, but two thumbs down for the owner. Shame on him for being a complete jerk.

Best Gay bar in Mobile. Gabriels does not blare music as is so unfortunately common at gay bars. You can still have comfortable conversation or listen to the music.

The staff is friendly. Carl E. is one of the pillars of gay culture in Mobile. Community/kindness/behavior is emphasized.

The bar is nicely decorated, an ancient downtown brick home converted into a bar. I'm not a big fan of rainbows, but I don't know about "too many rainbows" mentioned in another review...

The (s)karaoke has always been fun.

B-Bobs is nice and is great/mandatory for a drag show, but Gabriels is the epicenter of gay culture in Mobile.

Nice place to meet and talk to people. This is the bar you should go to talk and meet people. It has great atmosphere that allows you to sit and talk or even mingle. The patio is a great addition for the warmer months!
