Gone way down hill.
What a disappointment! Lobster was overdone, steaks underdone and the "lyonnaise" potatoes were unrecognizable. Deep-fried not pan fried, over salted, quartered not sliced onions, no garlic, no parsley and overall no taste. And who lets people still smoke in their restaurants? Is this still the 70's. For $220 for 2 people, the value was not there.

Overpriced, mediocre food, poor service.
I will never come to this CHAIN restaurant again. I've been to many high end restaurants all over the country, many times for business, taking out vendors and such, and this place is the worst. The service is the worst, their food is not worth half the price they are charging for it, and worst of all, it's all pretty bland. There is no good reason to come here. I still remember the first time I went to a Ruth's Chris Steak House: I was 18 and in Hawaii. I thought it was the best. Well, now I'm older and wiser and this place is far from good and certainly not worth putting up with the poor service. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else. You will not impress your clients here and you don't want to put your family through a bad night.

Overpriced.
It's a nice place to eat at but the price versus service just is to high

Sophisticated American chain serves up corn-fed USDA prime cuts and New Orleans-style appetizers and sides..
In Short
This offshoot of a popular New Orleans hangout for politicians features decor of dark woods and comfortable booths, with a separate bar scene. Choice cuts of custom-aged beef arrive in sizzling butter on 500-degree plates. The menu also offers chicken, pork and seafood entrees along with Creole appetizers like shrimp remoulade. Family-style sides include gargantuan onion rings, creamed spinach and various styles of potatoes. Traditional homemade desserts like cheesecake and bread pudding conclude the meal.

Best steak in town, nice place.
Best steak in Mobile so far, but you pay for it. Great date place with excellent service. Everything was good. Recommended.

Less than expected.
After having been to the Ruths Chris in Birmingham, took my family to one in Mobile (to celebrate daughter starting college). Not on the same scale. Birmingham was a 10 out of 10, in quality service, etc. Mobile's Ruth's Chris greatly lacked in the service department. Was more of what one would expect in a fast food steak house, not on the caliber of a Ruth's Chris. Greatly disappointed. Will definitely visit Ruth's Chris, but not the one in Mobile again!
