Nice atmosphere, good service and good food.
Visited Wintzell's on New Years Eve. No one wanted to drive all the way down to the causeway to one of the many seafood places there, so we stayed in town and tried Wintzells.
The service was really good, the server was pleasant and did a good job of making sure drinks were kept full and the order was correct.
The only complaint from our table was that the baked potatoes were not done all the way and were slightly on the cold side. The seafood entrees were good and filling.

Best crab soup!.
Have to try the soups, especially the crab. The bread is excellent. Everything else is pretty good to normal. Enjoy going there often for a light meal.

Wintzell's: A Touch of Yesterday's Delights.
We tried Wintzell's after a long day's travel drive and hotel clerk recommended it. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, staff, and ambiance of the place. The stuffed flounder bernaise was fresh, tasty, and plentiful. My wife had the stuffed shrimp and it was quite flavorful. Our appetizer was a fabulous cup of gumbo that was loaded with shrimp, crab, and crayfish. We could have made a meal out of it! Our waitress was really nice and the manager, Mark, checked on us often. He was a gracious host and quite conversational....it was late and they had a very busy day yet they treated us royally.
