Austin's Country Palace. It outlasted all the imitators, Whiskey, Wild West, and others who tried but never got the Austin's magic. Regarding the Whiskey in the previous post; it was too big, Austins was big enough without seeming like a mall.

There were only about three bands, really good ones, who played at Austins during the last ten years and having the same band every weekend along with the GREAT people who ran and worked there made it like a home away from home for me.

Dead in there now. I use to love Austin's but ever since The Whiskey opened Austins has been dead....the new hot spto is The Whiskey and it is awesome.

yeah baby. Being a fan of clubs that use dj's, i find the band at Austin's is quite exceptional. the crowd is very friendly and such a wide variety of folk. there's very rarely a fight - which is a plus. plus tons of cute guys. yeah baby!!!
