I just read some of the reivews on this page. I thought I would put in my own opinion of the learning center. Let me give some background information first...I have one child who is about to turn two years old. After I had him, I immediately started looking for a daycare b/c I knew I would be returning to work in 8 short weeks. I was extremely nervous about not being able to find one on such a short notice. However, Woodridge put me on their waiting list, and I kept my fingers crossed. I wanted my child to either attend this daycare, West Mobile, or Happy Days (references). Needless to say, Woodridge called me after a few weeks b/c they had an opening that would be available in time for my son to attend. I was extremely NERVOUS about sending my child to daycare, but I didn't have a choice...bills had to be paid. I remember leaving that first day, and I felt like the worst mom in the world. However, Anitra was like an angel that morning when I arrived. She immediately made me feel more comfortable about leaving my child. As time passed, I realized how WONDERFUL all the teachers in the baby room were, but especially Anitra. She was always there to greet us in the mornings with a huge smile on her face. I don't think I have ever seen her without a smile on her face. I can tell you that Anitra loves all her babies in her class. She goes out of her way to make sure they are taken care of. It didn't matter what time I showed up; she was always interacting with some child somehow. I don't know what happended with DMBRITT08, but I find it hard to believe that Anitra was responsible for neglecting her child in any way possible. I know that there is always two sides to a story. All I can say is that Anitra is a wonderful caring person. She deserves more credit than that. She was like a second mom to my child when I was at work. I have never regretted enrolling him at this daycare. He is still there and every teacher he has had is GREAT!!!! I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone who is looking for a place to send their child. The teachers are there for the children and that is what is important!!

the whole story- so you can get on my level

ok let me first say that i wasn't working for the bank when I got pregnant, so there is NO way that so called situation could've had an effect on my judgement about this daycare. I decided to use this daycare because I had a former employee that referred me plus I knew one of the ladies from the bank or at least I thought I did. When I made a comment about the baby gram is wasn't that they rounded up it was that they feed her & changed her diaper while she was a sleep. I asked my husband & friend to look over it before I brought it to there attention at the daycare. They both assured me that it wasn't possibe. Anyway, when I did mention it, I got the silent treatment from Erica & Antria, yes they spoke to my child but not to me. I did not take it to the director until it got to be a very uncomfortable situation- ok. Are you with me?? So I told Sally the director & low & behold the very next day they made it a big point to speak to me. Around the next week is when I stopped in early. Well I had bought pamper's brand diaper's for my home & daycare was still using huggies, when I walked in & she was sleeping & sucking on the pacifier like she was about to eat it, if she would've had teeth she would've chewed it up. Ok Mom do you understand? I picked her up & walked over to the changing table & Antria new she'd not changed her all day, that's why she said she needs her diaper changed. When I got home & took off her diaper it was a pamper's & it was heavy!!!! I went crazy, what was I paying them to do, sit & stare at my pretty little girl? When I gave her the bottle & it was finished I tried to take it away & she started screaming she didn't want to let it go. As a new mom, I hope no mother has to feel the way I felt this day. I feel like I had done this to my child by putting her in this environment. I understand that this didn't happen to everyone that's why it's called a review but for Antria to put my name & the other person (her mom) to put more personal information as a comment isn't right. I know that my child was dropped off at 7:30 & picked her up at 2:30 so that totals 7 hours without a diaper change & every child is different as far as when they eat & gracie ate every 3-4 hours. I am a new mom but far from a dumb one. Not sure why Antria & Connie didn't change my child's diaper but they didn't. & I didn't mention because it wasn't my child nor was it either of the ladies i've mentioned but I've walked in to find a baby & there bottle was proped up against something & that is a big no-no. I thought to myself, wonder who else they do that to but my child held her own bottle so I didn't worry to much about it. You don't wait SEVEN hours to change a child's diaper.

So glad that ya'll would put my first & last name on the web along with my place of employment. Let me first say that if I made a mistake at the bank, I'm only human. I loved my customers & they loved me. I have NEVER had to pay money out of my own pocket but I will tell you that I have never made a mistake on purpose that is why they are called mistakes but not changing a 5 month old's diaper for seven hours is not at mistake but NEGLECT & I should've turned ya'll in but I let it go unlike some of you. If you could look at the comments left by Rosser, how childish to think that a situation that happened while I was at work had anything to do with my child's teacher's not feeding or changing her. She was great child & still is to this day & I think that's why she was overlooked. At 5 months she had a bottle ever 3 hours so why did she not have but one bottle in 7 hours. The teacher's reponse to not changing & feeding her was because she was a sleep but I will tell you that she was not a sleep for the entire time. Gracie is walking & talking now & doing great. She just moved up to the toddler class & loves it. I won't tell you where she attends since they have broadcasted my whole life on the web & there are crazy people in this world but use your best judgement in any situation & let the childish remarks show you how childish the employees are. Best of luck to all of you. Ya'll are missing out on a happy & loving little girl. Her daycare now loves us & they tell me each day how she did, unlike woodrigde who didn't even speak to me & gave me baby grams that were wrong.
