Not what I was looking for..
My main intent of going to a spa was to get an hour massage. I chose this spa b/c of the package deal and was a good price for the package.
When I arrived it was at a house in a neighboorhood. When she answered the door it, there was only one person and she looked like my grandmother. (i brought a friend with me too).
I was then put into two massage chairs. After that we went to the hot tub which was nice ( but it was just a hot tub). then I was directed to take a "garden tub bath" wich I thought was strange. Then I sat into another massage chair and it turned off so i just sat there for another 15 minutes doing nothing.
So it was finally "Massage" time! I paid an EXTRA $25 to get a deep tissue massage. The massage lasted maybe 20 minutes and it didnt feel like a deep tissue at all!
Then the facial was a mask that dried out my face and I had to wash it off myself.
During this entire time I was completely undressed with a towel that kept near falling off.
Next time I will just get a real hour massage from somewhere and not worry about some "spa package".
She was very nice and the house was pretty but I honestly didnt feel much relaxed when I left. and by the way it took 3.5 hours because she kept working on me and friend bouncing back and forth and we didnt even get to enjoy the time together.
We love your place.
Alicia,
Thank you so much for your generous time. (you always spend extra time with us.)
Every year my daughter Melissa- & I come in on our anniversary of her receiving one of my kidneys, it's been seven years we've been coming in. She's doing very well with her new Kidney - NO REJECTION. We love your place.
Melissa's Mom!
A very special thank you. I meant to get to this sooner; Your phone call jolted me into action, finally! I just wanted to thank you once again for the VERY memorable afternoon Ralph & I spent with you. The environment you have created us unique in our experience and it is unsurpassed for total relaxation. All of the extra touches you provide - fresh juice, candles, etc, add to a very pleasurable experience. We left feeling completely relaxed and pampered. A very special thank you from me for understanding my worries and making me feel comfortable. Hope to see you soon Roseann & Ralph
So much fun. So thoughtful and you guys were so much fun! Massage good too!
Always grateful. My daughter & I really appreciated our time at your SPA. Her 16th birthday party was perfect and all her friends and family are still talking about it. I wish her father could have been home on leave to experience her day. Your surprise of the photographer will take the party to him overseas. We didn't expect the extras... Facials, Hand/foot wax, extra house ETC. All this just made us feel so special. The Gardens, lighting, furnishings, massage & extras were the best. Your the best. Always grateful, Shelly and Family
A wonderful place. Dear Alicia, Brenda & Shannon, Just a note to try and say how much I enjoyed the party. But it is hard to find the words. You and Dan have a wonderful place. Thanks for making my day so special. I will never forget it. Love you, Kathy
More than I expected. Alicia, I wanted to say a big THANK YOU for our time at the Gardens Day Spa. our experience with you was wonderful! Time loved his birthday and our time was very beneficial and special to our relationship. It was so much more than I expected. We look forward to seeing you very soon! Best wishes, J and T
DON"T GO!!!!!!!!!!!Not even close to one star!!. Creepy weird experience. I agree with the other reviews. I seriously thought i was on the T.V. show scare tactics. The "spa" is in a neighbor hood and appears to be her home. Its a dark confined room with two vib chairs that are very old. After you enter this house she deadbolt locks the door behind you. She put mud put on my face then let it dry. Then I was instructed to wash it off in her bathroom. It made my face look like it was really bad sunburned for about 12 hours. Not worth the money. Go to a real spa!!!!!! Don't waste your money!!!!!
RIPPED OFF - DON'T GO!!. First of all, when you arrive at this "spa and gardens" it is actually a cramped dark house located in a neighborhood and the grand garden is actually her back yard. You sit in two different massage chairs that groan and squeak while she bounces around from room to room and talks constantly. Constantly! Massages are mainly done by the ancient massage chairs and the hands on massage may last about 15 minutes even though you may pay for an hour. The facial consists of this women brushing on mud on your face, drying and then rinsing off in her bathroom sink. Thats it. Then you are presented with an outlandish amount to pay for nothing. I thought about calling the Better Business Bureau.
Way too much money. This was an all around weird experience....to begin with, you basically feel like you are just going to someone's house in a regular neighborhood, not a professional spa. You go into this woman's living room, sit in two different massage chairs, and are then instructed to take a bath. For a two-hour massage, you spend about fifteen to twenty minutes actually getting an honest "by-hand" massage, and you are expected to get completely naked whether you want to or not. One woman dealt with me the entire time, despite her claims that she had a "full staff"??? It was pretty much just plain weird, and I ended up paying about sixty dollars more than was quoted on the phone. For almost two hundred dollars, go to a real professional spa instead of what feels like a dark, cramped stranger's house. Would not recommend to ANYONE.
